Mitzcli's different poses - OH! ALL SLEEPING!

This dog has it all: a warm body to snuggle up to, a cute pink halter top (LOL) with the price tag still on it!, a new bed, but only because mommy loves SOCK MONKEYS!, catching some lamp rays while snoozing, and making himself comfortable on Papi's soft chair and blankie. What a life!
What? You got a problem? Just leave then, Mommy.
What the heck? Is that the price tag still on my pink halter?????????
Mommy loves sock monkeys sooooo much she bought me this cheap-a** sock monkey bed. Hmmm, feels pretty comfortable.
Man! This light feels good against my skin...if only Papi could move just a wee bit.
Now that Papi moved out of his chair, I'll take over.

Mitzcli's New Halter - Posing for it!

First, it was like, "I'll be 'damned' if you'll take my picture wearing this! And then...
It was, "Okay, take it, quickly!"

Guy and Mitzcli

I caught Guy feeding Mitzcli chicken! As I took this picture, he was starting to move his hand down his side (where it was hidden!) and give him a piece of chicken...unbelievable!

Caught Guy feeding Mitzcli!

sorry this picture is a little fuzzy...You can barely see Mitzcli sitting right by Guy's leg. Guy's hand is on it's way to feeding him...Shame!!!

September 28, 1955

okay, that's telling my age (if you can subtract!) LOL My friends at work who are very near and dear to me, gave me cards and nice little gifts. What a great bunch of people...

Anniversary of Dad's Passing, 8-30-96

I miss you everyday, Dad. So does Guy. We would have loved for you to meet Cody and Katy. I know you would have immediately picked up Katy and probably never put her down. She is an awesome little girl. You probably would have commented on how alike she and I are...she talks as much as I probably did (and continue to do even now) at that age. She would have been your "Guera." And Cody -- you would be so proud. You would see that even at the age of 11, he's as tall as I am! You would have loved that!
We shall see you someday, I know. Until then, we continue to miss you. And will always love you.

Getting ready to go volunteer at Hospital in Ediburg...He was so proud of what he did there!
Trip to Rio Grande City with Mom, me, Guy and Dad. We stayed at a great hotel there and had a blast!

Happy Fourth of July!

Want to wish everyone a happy Fourth of July and especially, a very happy birthday to Cesar. I'm sorry, this was the only picture I had that I could get my hands on quickly. I hope you spend a great day with Esther and Cortez and that Cortez makes you run around chasing him! And that Esther makes one of her GREAT cakes for ya! Love you guys!

Nice picture that Cody took using his phone...he and Mitzcli became inseparable while he stayed with us.
Picture Guy took on one of our visits to San Antonio. No, I'm not tipsy.
Cody and I were heading out to Wednesday night church. Had to take a picture of him wearing his new shirt...looks so stylish!

Random Pics!!! June 1, 2011

After we got home, we picked up Mitzcli from the kennel. He was so happy to be back home. Promptly took over Katy's pillow and allowed her to share some space!
Katy and Mitzcli.
At home, before we left on our expedition to Lake Charles!
Cody in the back seat as we were traveling to Lake Charles. Great haircut!
This is a great picture of Katy in the back seat of our car -- while we were traveling, probably to Lake Charles.

I love AVOCADOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This first picture was sent to me by Mike Davis because he was visiting King's Inn in Kingsville. This is one of their specialities: avocado salad. Note the beautiful color of these babies! And they taste great with their trademark dressing!

This is our lunch on Sunday: an avocado split into halves, shredded chicken on top and BBQ sauce. OHHHH was that good!

Happy Mother's Day! and other cute pics

Happy Mother's to all Wonderful Mothers! I hope you all had a great weekend, with minimal "things to do" or "let someone else do it 'cause this is MY DAY!"

I wanted to post a couple of pics taken over the weekend of Mother's Day: with the animals.

How Mitzcli loves to snuggle up right to your neck...with his little paws sticking out! A warm belly.

Hope you can see this: Buddy the squirrel, eating out of the bird feeder -- no shame! I wasn't able to catch him LITERALLY hanging down with his rear legs holding on to the feeder and food in his little paws...just swinging away while he ate. The funniest sight!

Various Faces of Katy!

This was Katy about 3 years ago.
Here she is just last year when she got her hair cut.
This is the latest picture of her, with bangs. To be quite honest, I think I like her without the bangs...but since when should my opinion count? Ha Ha!

Congratulations to Benjamin Natividad and Efrain Ezequiel Munguia

Congrats Ben, on your degree! I guess I should have put up the one where you're in the sink, as a baby, bathing. Nah.
Congrats EZ! I see you in a little red jumper with those little feet attached to it...in your backyard at home, playing. Sorry I don't have the picture, but I know your dad has it on video!

Love you both!

The Munguia Clan

Here's a rare picture: Dad and his siblings: Tio Pancho, Dad, below him Tia Petra, Tia Josephina, Grandma Paula, Tio Manuel. My dad was soooo young looking then. Don't know the year, but it had to be in the 60s since everyone was still alive. Dad was the youngest in that family, by the way. From what I understand, he was born 14 years after the last one was born (which was Manuel, I believe.) They lost their father before Dad was born (heart attack.) My Grandma Paula died at the age of 99. She had suffered a broken hip and did not recuperate after that. Jr., many thanks for sending this photo. It brought tears to my eyes.

Meli, Mom and Jr.

A rare photo, taken sometime around 1962-63. Me, Mom, and Jr. Wow. Jr., thanks for sending this. I do remember that dress by the way! It was blue. (get a load of that impish smile on Jr...innocent looking my foot!)
