Grampa Charlie is loved and missed. I remember the incredible life lessons he taught me, and the cheery demeanor he would show when doing the most mundane tasks: changing oil in the car, a simple search-a-word puzzle, tooling together a radio-weather station, or welding himself a BBQ pit. Even when I was little, I tried to emulate him: when he was working on the Dodge Dart, I was "working" on my little blue plastic pedal convertible. I hope that now in life, and in the future, I can emulate him. I loved him dearly, and I know I was loved. I'm happy he was reunited with Gramma Mary after they spent so long apart....
I've been cancer free for nine years now. Been married for 19 years. Just moved back to Missouri City, Texas and back at work (same job) at Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Executive Office.
