Hope you like my blooms! from my poor, forgotten orchid plant...which I would water every once in a while. God is gracious in allowing us to enjoy such pure beauty.

King's Inn Visit

Nice table, but who's it built for?

We walked in to Big Lots and noticed this really nice square table...only problem is IT WAS HUGE! So, I had to sit down and try it out. I felt like Lily Tomlin when she would do her skit where she sat in that huge rocking chair...
If I had to eat at this table, the plate would literally be chest high. Had to share this funny pic!

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

I just had to post this great picture of my mom and dad for Valentine's Day. I miss them soooo much. Be kind to your loved ones, because once they are gone, you can never get them back or say the things you want to say. I'm glad I had the time with them...the mistakes I made with them (some of which were hilarious) and the talks I had with them (one of which was they didn't want me to make mistakes but I said that I had to make mistakes, that that was the only way I would learn. Little did they know that just by their having that talk with me was all I needed. My dad always knew.;) My thanks to Esther for sending me this picture. She made me extremely happy!

On Sunday, I heard something hit the glass door hard in our sunroom and noticed the cat being jumpy while glancing out the door. I went outside and noticed a poor pigeon who had run straight into the glass door! It was laying on its back...Guy's conclusion: its neck was broken. I picked it up...it was still alive and blood was coming out of its beak. I thought it would be okay, (this was before I knew it's neck might be broken) so I gently cradled it and took it inside and placed it on a towel that was in the garage. I then placed a plastic box over it with lots of holes to allow it to breathe. I went inside to get something (I don't know what) and upon returning -- which took me less than 5 minutes -- I found the poor bird had expired. I felt so bad. I dug a hole in the back yard and buried it there and then placed some protection over the "grave" so that nothing could dig it up (as in neighbor's cats!) I felt such sadness.

And two cute pets to enjoy it with! I took some great pics of Mitzcli and Astro enjoying the fire...all barriers are broken when there is warmth involved! You can forget that they fight like...ahem, cats and dogs! Enjoy!
